I'm making beef stew. I haven't done any cooking for a long time, but this afternoon I've been cutting up onions, scraping carrots and peeling potatoes. I also used stewing beef, a can of diced tomatoes, frozen peas and cut green beans. I hope it turns out OK. The main concern I have is with the spices. I put in salt, pepper and some sort of mixed spice. I hope I didn't use too much.
UPDATE: The meal was a success. Admittedly, it was a simple dish to prepare...
