Lest We Forget

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
-- Laurence Binyon, For The Fallen

(no subject)

It was a warm, sunny day yesterday, so we went to Fish Creek Park and hiked around for a while. Everything looks a bit barren at this time of year, the leaves having fallen already. There were patches of snow in a few shady spots.

Today I've been continuing with the scanning project. Slow going, but I am making progress. I started out scanning at 300 dpi, but the resulting TIFF files were very large. I've now dropped to 200 dpi, which is still quite high resolution, but takes significantly less disk space.

Currently in the CD changer: Hot Tuna (their first album); Grateful Dead 8-23-68 Shrine Auditorium, L.A.; O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack; Miles Davis 11-5-71 Konzerthaus, Vienna (2 discs).

Back to work tomorrow after a week off.
