I slept in until about 9:30 this morning. It had been raining, but smoke was still hanging over the city. L made us boiled eggs and tea, and then I finished the book I had started yesterday (The Killing Machine, by Jack Vance). I showered and dressed, and went out for a haircut. On my return, I started researching monitors online. Mine has developed a distortion, and I don't think it is worth repairing. The main question is whether to get a CRT or an LCD. I also listened to a Mermen show that came in the mail the other day, while downloading another one. I've really fallen in love with their music. Around 6:00 pm, I took L out for dinner. I had the barbequed chicken and ribs -- delicious and filling! On the way home, I decided to pick up some ice cream to make liqueur parfait. I wanted Hagen-Dazs Vanilla, but had to settle for Rocky Road. It went rather well with Creme de Cassis! Later in the evening, we watched Adaptation. The whole notion of making your screenplay about the difficulties you're having writing the screenplay seems a bit iffy, but I suppose it works here.
