Yesterday I called Telus to inquire about my new modem. The guy just laughed when I told him delivery in 2 to 3 days had been promised. Apparently, 7 to 10 working days is more realistic. At least I was able to confirm that it has been shipped.

This afternoon, I took L on a walking tour called Sunday in the Cemetery. The guide had plenty of interesting stories about early Calgary, and the cemetery itself was worth seeing, but after 90 minutes of trudging around in the hot sun, we had had enough. We left the tour, and went to a restaurant for a beverage and desserts (cappuccino and Saskatoon berry pie with ice cream for me!).
