I should really try updating this thing during the day, instead of waiting until I can barely keep my eyes open.

I went to make a cup of tea this morning, and a gecko ran across the stove. L was out for the day, and one of her pets had escaped. I was able to catch it, which I felt smug about for the rest of the day. The sticky-footed little wretches can be difficult to catch, as they can run straight up walls, upside down across the ceiling, etc.

I took some books to a second-hand shop today, left a few more on the "free" shelf in our apartment building, and listed a couple of others on eBay. It's a start. Soon I may have some unused shelf space.

I also picked up a few CDs at the library (Sinatra, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Leo Kottke), and helped a friend test some internet software.

And now, in honor of Queen Victoria Day, I'm going to lie down, close my eyes and think of England.

Good night!
