  • Music:
Carin's memorial service was tonight. The first part was very good. A number of people who had known her spoke in tribute. That was interesting and often moving, and I learned a lot I hadn't known about her. She had been a teacher, poet, artist, musician and web designer in her 45 years. She was also active in her church. Hymns and folk songs were sung by several performers. The last part of the service was a sermon that went on and on and on, for at least an hour. Finally it was over, and after talking with John for a few minutes, we left the funeral home to find large snowflakes falling silently in the dark.
