I took L out for a very nice Valentine's Day dinner tonight. I had a few glasses of Merlot, a Cajun shrimp salad, then a bacon-wrapped filet (thumbing my nose at Osama) with baked potato & veggies. For dessert I had something called Chocolate Utopia -- a 6-layer chocolate cake coated in chocolate fudge, with ice cream and 2 chocolate dipped strawberries on the side. That was almost too much for me, but I finished it. Then we came home and fell asleep.

It has turned bitterly cold here. The forecast for tomorrow is for "freezing drizzle". Delightful. I have a 3-day weekend, and it would be nice to be able to get outside. I'm sort of on call for work this weekend, though I don't really expect anything to come up.
