I'm sitting here at midnight, listening to the Stones, sipping a glass of port and rewriting a program to optimize its performance. Two out of three ain't bad. Actually, I like doing this kind of programming. I rarely get the opportunity to go back and clean up code. I'm not doing it for fun, though, but to get a head start on next week.

I managed to get caught up on all the to-do items that were worrying me earlier, and still had time to do some reading, listening to music and goofing off. I also watched Monster Garage on TV. This is a fun program featuring Jesse James (of Motorcycle Mania fame), working with a team to build an outrageous project vehicle each week. This is the first episode I've seen; they built a nut-shaker.
