I went in to work for a few hours this afternoon, but made sure that I did lots of fun things throughout the day, too -- going out for breakfast, going out for dinner (buffalo burger!), listening to lots of great music (bluegrass, Dead, Coltrane, Jorma [who was on A Prairie Home Companion today]).

To me, my office is boring, but a few people on my friends list have recently posted pics of their work areas and I found them interesting, so today I took a few pictures of my office.

I work for a small software company, developing production accounting software for the Canadian oil and gas industry. We are currently busy with two major projects: we are making a number of enhancements to our software for a large client, and we are modifying our software to comply with the new Petroleum Registry of Alberta.

This is a view of my office from the doorway. I keep the blinds drawn to keep the glare off my monitor, but you can see the high rise canyon through them.

My PC, desk and work area. If this picture looks a little brighter than the others, it's because I opened the blinds to get more light.

A fascinating view of my foot and wastebasket.

A few examples of trees broken by the accumulation of snow, as mentioned in my last post. The snow is gone, but the damage remains.
