Michael Houser, guitarist for Widespread Panic, died yesterday. He had been battling pancreatic cancer for some months, but continued performing until early July. He was only 40, and is survived by a wife and two children.

Widespread Panic have been around for years, but I only started listening to them about six months ago. They have become one of my favorite bands. It's sad that his life was cut short. While alive he brought joy to so many people.
