L asked me if I could find out when the International Space Station would be visible. Using Google I was able to find that information in about two minutes. The ISS will next be visible from Calgary at 1:15 a.m. for about three minutes, as it passes from W to ENE. I hope we are able to see it.

We've been having thunderstorms here on and off for the past few days. There have been some really loud claps of thunder, the kind that you can feel reverberating through the floor.

UPDATE: We did see the ISS! Not much to see, just a tiny white light moving across the sky.
