I had a good day at work. I started a project that I had estimated would take 5 days, and completed it in 6.5 hours. Either I'm a hotshot developer, or a lousy estimator. A bit of both, maybe. Anyway, it was a productive day. From meetings during the week, I now have a prioritized list of tasks that should keep me busy for quite a while. It's nice to end the week feeling good about your job.

Over my lunch hour, I went to Staples and bought a Canon 650U scanner. I like this one because it is small, draws its power from the USB cable (so it doesn't require an AC adapter), produces good quality scans, and is reasonably priced. I had been thinking of getting the Canon 1220U, but I think the 650U gives me everything I need, and for half the price.
