  • on my way out of the apartment building this morning, one of the 1/2" plate glass doors had been completely shattered, so I had to use the back entrance
  • at work, found out that a new hire is starting on Monday
  • I had forgotten it was the end of the month, and had to return home over my lunch hour to pay the rent
  • had lunch with L (ham sandwiches and tea)
  • on my way back to the office, I gave a middle-aged Indian woman in a brightly colored sari directions to the post office
  • worried most of the day over a family situation, now resolved, though not really to my satisfaction
  • got 7 CDs of Stones concert bootlegs in the mail; the first one I tried playing skips badly
