I hear L's gecko chirping in the distance. She has a number of geckos, but only one that makes that sound. About a week ago, I was sitting at the computer when I heard it chirping only a few feet away from me -- it had escaped from the vivarium again. It was late and L was already asleep, but I woke her and she was able to catch it within about 10 minutes. It didn't chirp for a few days after that. The previous times it escaped, it was at large for months, which isn't really safe for it (athough it was fat and sassy each time we caught it).
