When I installed my new hard drive, I noticed that my PC's CPU heatsink/fan was its loudest component, so I did a bit of research on the web and found Quietpc.ca, a company that sells low-noise PC components. I ordered a CPU heatsink/fan from them, and installed it today. It seems to do an adequate job of cooling, and is definitely much quieter than the old fan, virtually silent. Now my hard drive is the loudest component.

I'm looking forward to being able to go for long walks again. It is too cold and windy to enjoy walking now. At this time of year, the trees are bare, the snow has mostly melted, and the streets have a lot of gravel and dust on them from being sanded in the winter.
